    Bezpečnosť zdravotníckych zariadení
(University of Žilina, 2024) Zelenák, Michal; Kyselák, Jan
The healthcare industry is changing daily. One of the top security issues affecting hospitals today is workplace violence. People rarely act violently without warning. Often, there are indicators that may be overlooked, remain unreported, or, even when reported, are not adequately evaluated and addressed. Healthcare facilities must have policies and procedures that require reporting of threatening or unusual behaviours. Having preventive policies and procedures in place is the first step in mitigating violence and providing a safe and secure hospital. The authors describe how to manage staff more efficiently and implement strategic plans to help acquire resources within a restricted revenue environment. Processes to manage emergent events, provide risk assessments, and evaluate and understand technology.

    Road Safety Management Model
(University of Zilina, 2019) Danchevska, Verica; Joshevski, Zoran; Danchevski, Dejan
Traffic accidents are a serious problem in every society. Traffic safety is a science that analyzes road accidents with material damage, lightly injured, severely injured and killed persons. This paper proposes that road safety investment can be optimised by the development of a road safety management model. Road safety strategies typically include a basket of engineering, enforcement and education/training measures but there does not appear to be any management model which permits the optimisation of road safety investment. The proposed model utilises linear programming to predict changes in road safety resulting from safety interventions. It is mainly based on research in the areas of engineering and enforcement since there is little published research on the correlation between education and accident reduction. The model output provides the accident reduction and associated costs resulting from feasible road safety strategies. This should benefit policy makers when allocating resources. This example will be good experience for Traffic safety management system in the Republic of Macedonia.

Toward Management Of Traffic Culture In Macedonia
(University of Zilina, 2019) Bunevska Talevska, Jasmina
The World Health Organization in its agenda on sustainable development 2030 sets a goal to reduce the number of traffic-related accidents by 50% [1]. According to the trend of reducing the number of traffic-related accidents and the latest statistics report by SIA Bitola, this is a very high goal for our city and a great challenge which we could try to reach if we start acting right now by trying to rise and advance the traffic culture; to provide infrastructural facilities and elements that are planned and designed according to safety principles that correspond to the projected speed and road function, with access to frontal facilities and protective greenery as well as preserved historical and aesthetic features; to provide a safe infrastructure for pedestrians, the elderly and persons with disabilities, but primarily permanent and visually attractive; to provide a safe and continuous bicycle infrastructure; to introduce traffic calming; to exclude and limit access of freight vehicles for transit and traffic in housing zones; to improve the services of taxis and public bus transport of passengers, namely to improve everything related to safe traffic and transport in our country. The general objective of this article is presentation of the approach to raising traffic safety and improving the traffic culture in our country through field educational workshops on the example of the city of Bitola, Macedonia.
